Frequently Asked Questions

1) Do we need to move furniture?
No. We move most furniture. Sofa's, chairs, tables etc. Things we generally don't move are entertainment centers, hutches, bookcases, and things like piano's. In bedrooms the rule of thumb would be... is the room big enough to move the bed off it's footprint one time. If not and you want the furniture moved, you'll have to take the bed out.

2) Do I have to vacuum before you get here?
No. We vacuum before we clean.

3)How long does it take to dry?
It will depend on what cleaning method we use. Most of the time we use a dry cleaning method and the carpets dry in less then 2 hours.

4) What cleaning method do you use?
This is what sets us apart from other carpet cleaners. We use a variety of cleaning methods. They all have strengths and weaknesses. What works best on Berber doesn't necessarily work best on plush. Pet problems are different from kid problems. Commercial carpet is different then residential which is different from an oriental area rug. There is no "one size fits all" method that works best in all situations. Instead of fitting your conditions into one cleaning method we tailor our cleaning method to meet your needs. Everyone will say their method is the best. Sometimes they're right. Problem is... you don't know if that's true for you.

5) Are the chemicals toxic?
We use the safest least toxic chemicals we can find. And with the methods and equipment we use we're using less chemicals in the cleaning process to begin with, therefore there is less left behind when we leave. Most of the chemicals we use crystallize when dry so the first time you vacuum they're gone.

6) Will all the stains come out?
We can't say that for sure without looking at them. Even a cleanable stain can become more difficult or even impossible the longer it's there or depending what someone might have used to try and clean it before we get there. Here's what I can say
. If they are cleanable we can do it. We have some of the best spot cleaning chemicals on the market. And they're specific to the spot itself. What cleans grease or oil is different from what will clean coffee. What cleans coffee is different from what will clean spaghetti sause. Pet stains require something even different then those. We can even clean dye stains like koolaide and colored soda.

7) Can you get pet odors out of my carpet?
We have had great success with eliminating all kinds of odors out of a carpet. Urine, diarrhea, vomit, mold and mildew are some of the most commonly asked about. The most frequently asked about is pet urine. Our approach is to eliminate the source of the odor rather then to simply mask it. We have a product that  is able to  biodegrade the problem. Breaks it down molecularly so it goes away. We thoroughly clean the area first and then treat it by spraying it.

8) Do you ever run specials?
No. Carpet cleaning specials can be very misleading. There are a lot of scams out there. See our section on "Evaluating Carpet Cleaning Specials" on our website.

9) Do you scotch guard the furniture and carpets?
Yes we do.

10) Does the scotch guard work?
It's not foolproof but yes it works. It doesn't prevent stains and soiling from happening but it does help prevent them from becoming permanent additions to your furniture and carpets.
